The farmers gathered at the Shambhu border have once again intensified preparations to march to Delhi. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher held a press conference on Tuesday and announced that the farmers will once again march to Delhi with full force on 14 December. In the press conference, the farmer leader said that now we will leave for Delhi on 14th December, our protest has completed 303 days and the fast unto death of the farmers has also completed 15th day. We have always accepted talks with an open heart. Till now no one from the government has contacted us.

101 group will go to Delhi

He further said that both the organizations have decided that we will march to Delhi with a group of 101 farmers on 14th. On Wednesday we will pray for the success of the farmers’ movement. We demand the release of those farmers who were arrested or detained during the protest. I request film stars, singers and religious leaders to please publicize our protest by performing.

Let us inform you that earlier, under the banner of United Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha, a group of 101 farmers had moved towards Delhi on 6th and 8th December, but the police in Haryana stopped them. During this period, there was a situation of confrontation between the farmers and the security forces, after which tear gas cells were fired to push the farmers back. Many farmers were injured during this period.

Let us tell you that the farmers have been camping on the Shambhu and Khanauri border between Punjab and Haryana since February 13 to go to Delhi. Earlier, the farmers tried to move towards Delhi on 13 and 21 February, but the police and administration stopped them at the border.
