Ghaziabad: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off the NaMo Bharat train from Sahibabad to Anand Vihar station on Sunday. In view of this, security has been increased in Ghaziabad. According to officials, to prepare for this program, Ghaziabad Police has declared eight police station areas as drone-free zones. To ensure maximum security during the Prime Minister’s visit, flying of drones has been banned in Kotwali, Madhuban Bapudham, Nandgram, Link Road, Sahibabad, Indirapuram, Sihani Gate and Kaushambi police station areas.
Section 163 of BNS implemented
Police have also invoked Section 163 of the Indian Civil Defense Code (power to issue orders in urgent cases of disturbance or apprehension of danger) to maintain law and order. “Security has been tightened across the city and we will soon issue a diversion plan for smooth movement during the event,” Kumar said.
High speed rapid train ‘Namo Bharat’ is different and unique.

The train will run on the 82 kilometer route between Delhi and Meerut.
The entire corridor of the Rs 30,274 crore project will be 82 km long and will stretch from Delhi’s Sarai Kale Khan station to Meerut’s Modipuram. It takes one and a half hour in Mail Express train and two hours in local train between Meerut and Delhi, but RRTS will take only 55-60 minutes. This entire project is expected to be completed in June 2025. Let us tell you that the foundation stone of this project was laid by PM Modi on March 8, 2019.
The first section was inaugurated on October 20, 2023.
The first 17-km priority section of RRTS between Sahibabad and Duhai depot was inaugurated by Modi on October 20, 2023. Presently NaMo Bharat services operate on a 42 km corridor serving nine stations including Sahibabad, Ghaziabad, Guldhar, Duhai, Duhai Depot, Muradnagar, Modi Nagar South, Modi Nagar North and Meerut South.
