In Himachal Pradesh, women will now be given Rs 1500 every month. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has started the scheme by giving this amount to more than 2 thousand eligible women in Kullu district on Wednesday. The name of the scheme is Indira Gandhi Pyari Bahna Sukh Samman Nidhi Yojana. Addressing the people, he said, “Our government is determined to decide that all the disadvantaged sections from the state property should be benefited.”
Distributed more than 1 crore amount
CM Sukhu has launched this scheme by benefiting 2,238 eligible women of Banjar Vikas Block of Kullu district. Under this scheme, Sukhu has sent Rs 4,500 to each beneficiary’s bank account for a period from April to June 2025. The total amount distributed among women was Rs 1,00,71,000. On this occasion, the CM said that the state government is committed to providing Rs 1,500 per month to eligible women.

The Chief Minister said that soon domestic working women and daughters of widows will also be brought under this scheme. Responding to the questions of BJP leaders about the Rs 1500 plan, Sukhu said that the government has curbed corruption and saved government money, which has enabled the government to provide financial assistance in a phased manner. He said that in the first phase, 2238 women of Banjar region are being given pension and this amount will be given to all eligible women in the coming days.
He also distributed Rs 5.87 lakh to 37 beneficiaries of Banjar under various schemes including ‘Beti Hai Anmol Yojana’, ‘Shagun Yojana’, ‘Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana’, ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana’ and ‘Mukhyamantri Sukh-Ashraya Yojana’.
