Support for Yogi’s action on Bahraich incident
Nupur Sharma has supported the action of Yogi government in the Bahraich murder case. Addressing a conference of Brahmin community in Bulandshahr, he asked the question whether the law of our country allows brutal murder of someone for uprooting a flag. Nupur said that if we divide we will be divided, hence think for the country, Sanatan and society. We are not mosquitoes or diseases that need to be crushed.
Nupur Sharma, who came into limelight by giving controversial statements against the Prophet, said from the stage about Ram Gopal Mishra, who was killed in the Bahraich violence, “I was deeply pained by the way Gopal Mishra ji was murdered in Bahraich. Maybe I can understand it deeper than you because I have been struggling with it for two and a half years. Not only me but my family…on this stage and perhaps among you all, there are those very senior people who blessed me and prayed that today I am standing alive and safe in front of you. Thirty-five bullets, uprooted nails, tore the stomach, gouged out the eyes. Why… I will ask again, does the law of our country allow the brutal murder of someone to remove the flag. This has become a very common thing.

Police rejected the claim
Before the Bahraich violence, it was being claimed on social media that the attackers had brutally beaten Ram Gopal Mishra to death before killing him. After this he was attacked with a sharp weapon. Apart from this, about 35 shrapnel marks were found on his face, neck and chest. Not only this, the attackers crossed all limits of barbarity and even pulled out his toenails and attacked him with a sharp object near his eyes. However, on October 16, the police rejected all these things.
