New Delhi. There is terrible pollution in the country’s capital Delhi and surrounding cities and districts. In Delhi itself, Air Quality Index i.e. AQI 500 was recorded in 15 areas on Tuesday morning. After this, now Delhi government seems to be preparing to take more steps. Delhi government minister Gopal Rai has said that implementing odd-even for vehicles in the capital will be considered after talking to experts. The guidelines of the Supreme Court will also be followed in this. He has also written a letter to the Central Government through experts from IIT and other scientific institutions to provide artificial rain to reduce pollution in Delhi. He also appealed to PM Modi to intervene.

Gopal Rai said that there have been more than 7000 incidents of stubble burning in Punjab and there has been a decrease in them as compared to previous years. At the same time, he cited 2500 incidents of stubble burning in UP and blamed an increase in them. In Delhi, the government first implemented GRAP-1 to deal with the terrible pollution. Then the rules of Grape-2 and Grape-3 were also implemented. Now from Monday, the Delhi government has also implemented the rules of Group 4, but despite this, there is no sign of reduction in pollution in Delhi. Also, pollution is being seen in nearby Ghaziabad, Gurugram, Noida and even Agra. Also listen to what expert Ravindra Khaiwal said regarding stubble burning.

Pollution increases in Delhi every year with the onset of winter. Apart from Punjab, Haryana and Western UP, farmers also burn stubble in the villages of Delhi. This burning stubble plays a major role in increasing pollution in and around Delhi. Besides, diesel-powered vehicles from other states also come to Delhi and this also increases pollution a lot. Despite this, no concrete plan has been prepared to reduce pollution. Every year, in the name of preventing pollution, fireworks are banned during Diwali. The same was done this year also. Whereas, many days have passed since Diwali and still pollution is showing its poisonous colors.
