New Delhi. Seeing my water receding, don’t build a house on my shore, I am the ocean, I will come back… BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis had said this during his address in the Assembly while resigning from the post of CM after the 2019 assembly elections. Fadnavis was the CM of Maharashtra at that time. Now, when the trends of Maharashtra Assembly election results show the BJP led NDA alliance coming back to power with majority, after 5 years, that old video of Devendra Fadnavis is once again going viral on social media.

Let us tell you that in the trends of Maharashtra Assembly election results, out of the majority figure of 145 seats, BJP is still maintaining a strong lead on 124 seats. While Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena, BJP’s ally in the grand alliance, is ahead on 55 seats and Ajit Pawar’s NCP is ahead on 37 seats. After this bumper lead of BJP, BJP supporters are rapidly sharing old videos of Devendra Fadnavis on social media. Actually, BJP and Shiv Sena had fought the 2019 assembly elections together but even before the formation of the government, the alliance broke due to differences. After this Devendra Fadnavis took oath as CM but resigned before the floor test.

After this, Congress formed the Mahavikas Aghadi alliance with Uddhav Thackeray and Ajit Pawar and gained power. Uddhav Thackeray became CM but this government could not complete its tenure. There was a split in Shiv Sena, after which BJP formed the government along with Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar’s NCP, but Eknath Shinde became CM and former CM Devend Fadnavis had to be content with the post of Deputy CM. Now there is a possibility that this time again Devendra Fadnavis can become the CM of Maharashtra.
