Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday supported India’s action against Pakistan under ‘Operation Sindoor’, saying it was necessary for India to respond to what happened in Pahalgam. He also added that now this neighboring country depends on Pakistan how much it wants to spoil the situation.
Regarding Operation Sindoor, Chief Minister Abdullah said, “I cannot forget the attack in Pahalgam on 22 April, in which 26 people died. At that time the Central Government said that it will answer in its own way. The manner in which India responded was not to target only a common citizen or military sector. Operation was targeted through Sindoor where those people were living for the last 30-35 years, which were living for the last 30-35 years and Kashmir. The disturbance spread.
Omar Abdullah said, “If people were not killed in Pahalgam, then this situation would not have happened today. We were living in peace. The situation inside Jammu and Kashmir was stable, and tourism was increasing. Ceasefire was applicable on the Line of Control (LOC). We did not create these situations. We had to answer that attack. But now it is how much it is to increase this situation. Be normal, but Pakistan will have to silence its guns for this. ”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said that he has held a review meeting with the District Magistrates of the districts located near the Line of Control (LOC) through a video conference. He said, “I have taken complete information about the situation. There have been reports of loss from some places, but reports are being collected at the moment. I have released funds to the District Magistrates to deal with any emergency. If people need to be removed, vehicles and ambulances have been arranged for this.”
He further said, “We can only expect that all this ends soon. If the guns on the other side stop, then we will also stop. At present, our civil areas are being targeted.”
Chief Minister Omar Abdullah appealed to the people of the valley to maintain restraint instead of getting nervous or running away. He said, “There is no need to panic right now. There is no shortage of essential commodities, there is a sufficient amount of supply in the blood bank of hospitals. The highway is completely open. People do not need to be afraid or run away from here. Schools are open in Jammu and Srinagar, although Srinagar Airport is closed.”
Significantly, after the Pahalgam terror attack, the Indian Armed Forces attacked the terrorist bases located in Pakistan and Pakistan Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (Pojk) under ‘Operation Sindoor’ on Wednesday morning. During this campaign, nine terrorist bases were targeted and all nine targets were successful.
