The Uttar Pradesh government said on Friday that more than 10 crore devotees are expected to take a dip in the holy confluence of more than 10 crore devotees during the Amrit bath on Mauni Amavasya on January 29 in Mahakumbh.
He said that extensive measures are being taken for efficient management of crowd and traffic in this regard.
Bathing in Kumbh is the most important ritual. By the way, it is considered sacred to take a dip in the confluence on all day and start from Makar Sankranti. Nevertheless, there are some special auspicious bathing dates, which are known as ‘Amrit Snan’ (earlier called Shahi Snan).
The third such auspicious date will be in Mauni Amavasya Mahakumbh on twenty -nine January. The first two days were 13 January (Paush Purnima) and 14 January (Makar Sankranti), while next month there will be three more days – 3 February (Basant Panchami), 12 February (Maghi Purnima) and 26 February (Maha Shivaratri).
In a statement on Friday, the state government said that the officials have been instructed to ensure that devotees return from the same sector or zone where they were reaching and under any circumstances to go to the devotees to go to ‘Sangam Nose or other zone’. Will not be allowed.
The government said that all additional District Magistrates, Additional Superintendents of Police, Jurisdictional, Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Sector Magistrate have been instructed to monitor to maintain the system under their jurisdiction.
He said, “As the most important festival of Mahakumbh, Mauni Amavasya is the focal point of the arrangements of this fair. This year, a record number of devotees are expected to gather in Prayagraj amid the efforts of Yogi Adityanath government to make Mahakumbh more grand and divine.
The government said, “Instructions have been issued to minimize traffic from 27 to 29 January, giving priority to the convenience of devotees, especially on ‘Sangam Nose’.”
The government said that a 12 -km long ghat has been prepared for easily and bathing of devotees.
The government said, “Devotees are being encouraged to bathe at the closest ghats of their entry point and not to return from there and not go to other areas. Withdrawal teams will be deployed to prevent congestion at the ghats as safe withdrawal of devotees will be the top priority of the administration. ‘
The government said that to ensure effective congestion control, ropes like ropes, ‘loud hallr’, seats, flying squads and ‘watch tower teams will be made.
On the festival of Makar Sankranti, 3.5 crore devotees took a bath in the holy confluence and now on Mauni Amavasya, the biggest festival of Mahakumbh, 10 crore devotees are expected to take a Amrit bath at the Triveni Sangam.
