Defense Minister Rajnath Singh hoped in the Rajya Sabha that one day people of Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK) would return to India and proudly accept themselves as an Indian. Regarding Operation Sindoor, he said that it is India’s clear message that we can go anywhere and to any extent to eliminate terrorism. Appreciating the exact action of the Indian Army, he reiterated the Indian government’s commitment to national security. In the Rajya Sabha, he said, “One day it will definitely come when the people of PoK will return to India and feel proud to call themselves Indians.” He further said that Operation Sindoor was not an instigated action, but an essential step for self -defense.
Rajnath Singh said, “We demolished 9 terrorist bases associated with Lashkar and Hizbul. There was no harm to any innocent Pakistani citizen. Our target was clear and the message was straightforward.” The Defense Minister also revealed that Pakistan carried out missiles and drone attacks targeting many military and civil bases in India, but India thwarted all these attacks and did not lose any kind of life and property.
Regarding Operation Mahadev, he told that on the basis of intelligence information, all the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack were killed. He urged the opposition that the courage and valor of the Indian Army should be appreciated and appreciated unitedly above political differences. He said, “Not a single Indian soldier was casualties during such a big operation. We should be proud of the valor and maturity of our army.”
Reversing the claims of mediation by US President Donald Trump, Singh said that on May 10, Pakistan itself had appealed to the ceasefire after India’s surgical action. The Defense Minister clarified, “We agreed to the ceasefire, but placed the condition that if there is a terrorist attack again, the operation vermilion will start again. The operation is not over – it is still going on.”
