One person has died due to collapse of the coal mine in Jharkhand, while many people got trapped in the mine. The incident is early in Karma area of the district. Relief and rescue operations have been started on the spot as soon as the incident was reported.
Ashutosh Kumar Singh, in -charge of Kuju police post, said that a body has been recovered so far and the rescue operation is on. Many people are still stranded inside.
According to police investigation, some villagers were involved in “illegal” mining of coal on the spot. Ramgarh Deputy Commissioner (DC) Faiz Ak Ahmed Mumtaz said that we got information about the incident in the morning. An administrative team has been sent to the spot to investigate the case. Relief and rescue operations are being carried out on the spot.
