Members of the opposition on Saturday in the Lok Sabha, while reading the budget speech by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, for some time demanded that the government should give a statement about the Kumbh stampede.
As soon as the Lok Sabha meeting started at 11 am, the opposition members started shouting slogans on the stampede on January 29, in which 30 people died.
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman started reading her budget speech in the midst of this slogans.
The slogans lasted for about five minutes after which the opposition members extended the House. However, shortly after, they all returned to the House. Meanwhile, the Finance Minister continued his budget speech.
Members of the outposts did not include members of the Trinamool Congress.
Even after the completion of the budget speech of Finance Minister Sitharaman, the opposition members demanded a statement from the government on the stampede in Prayagraj Kumbh.
