57 laborers were trapped in Mana village on Friday morning.
Dehradun: 57 laborers were buried in snow on Friday in an altitude area near Mana, a frontier village in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand. 33 of these 57 laborers working for the Border Roads Organization stuck amidst heavy snowfall in high -decay areas of the state have been evacuated. According to information received from the Disaster Management Department of the state, 32 people trapped in the avalanche 6 km ahead of Badrinath Dham have been evacuated by 5 pm, while the remaining 24 others are undergoing action.
An avalanche took place at around 07:15 am
According to reports, there was an avalanche on the camp of BRO laborers located between Mana and Badrinath at around 07:15 pm, causing the workers to be buried in the snow. After receiving the information of the incident, the police, army, Border Roads Organization (BRO), Indian Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), State Disaster Prevention Force and Disaster Management Department employees reached the spot and started rescue and relief work. The Uttarakhand government said that 33 laborers have been rescued so far. Let us know that due to bad weather and frequent snowfall, there are difficulties in running rescue and relief work on the spot. However, no casualties were reported in the incident yet. The names of all the workers trapped in the incident have also come out.

Let us know that Mana India, about 3 km from Badrinath, is the last village on the Tibet border which is located at a height of 3200 meters. The accident site has been considered dangerous in winter time in terms of avalanche, so in earlier times people were removed from this camp and kept in Badrinath. Mana village head Pitambar Singh said that this time the camp was not closed due to lack of snow and today the workers were hit by the accident. Badrinathdham is situated on the foothills of mountains and Narayan, in the middle of which the Alaknanda river flows. The accident occurred due to avalanche from the mountain mountain.
