New Delhi. Political parties have started gearing up for the assembly elections to be held in Bihar. Meanwhile, Asaduddin Owaisi’s party AIMIM has said to form a third front in Bihar. AIMIM’s only MLA in Bihar Akhtarul Iman said that for the upcoming assembly elections, his party will adopt a separate way from the ruling NDA and the Mahagathbandhan of the opposition. Earlier, it was believed that Owaisi’s party would contest elections by joining the Congress and RJD’s grand alliance, but now due to lack of talk there, Owaisi’s MP has announced a separate way.
Earlier, MIM leader Akhtarul Iman had said that he will wait for the offer from the Grand Alliance. The manifesto of the parties involved in the Grand Alliance was a meeting of the committee today in which AIMIM was not sent. Earlier, Owaisi’s party was not invited to the meeting of the Grand Alliance, angry with this, Owaisi’s party MLA today spoke of the third front. Let us tell you that earlier in the 2020 assembly elections, Owaisi’s party contested 19 seats under Democratic Secular Front.
The Democratic Secular Front included Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM, Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party, Om Prakash Rajbhar’s Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, Sanjay Chauhan’s Janwadi Party, Upendra Kushwaha’s Rashtriya Lok Samata Party of that time and Devendra Prasad Yadav’s SZDDDI party. In that election, the Democratic Secular Front came to only 6 seats, out of which 5 went to AIMIM and 1 seat to BSP. Later, 4 MLAs of Owaisi’s party joined Lalu Yadav’s party RJD. In this way, AIMIM MLA survived Akhtarul Iman Bihar.
