Pahalgam terror attack: Jammu and Kashmir government announced compensation, families of the dead will get 10 lakhs

The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced compensation for the victims of Pahalgam terror attack. The Jammu and Kashmir government on Wednesday announced a grace of Rs 10 lakh to the family of each person killed in the Pahalgam terror attack.At the same time, the state government has announced an ex -gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh for seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh for minor injured.

The office of Jammu and Kashmir CM Omar Abdullah has issued a statement informing about the meeting. The CM office quoted Omar Abdullah as saying, “I am very shocked and distressed by the disgusting terrorist attack in Pahalgam. This barbaric and silly cruel act against innocent citizens has no place in our society. We strongly condemn this. We can express the mourning of the people killed. No money can be replenished, but no money can compensate for the harm of loved ones, but no one can compensate for the harm and unity, The Government of Jammu and Kashmir announces an ex-gratia amount of Rs 10 lakh for the families of the dead, Rs 2 lakh for seriously injured and Rs 1 lakh for the injured.

CM said that all arrangements have been made to take the victims back to their homes. The injured are being provided the best medical service. We express condolences to the bereaved families. We are involved in your grief and stand with you in this difficult time. But terror will never break our resolve and we will not sit peacefully until the people behind this barbarity are brought into the dock of justice.

Abdullah said that all arrangements have been made to bring the dead body of the dead in their home in a respectable manner.Abdullah said, “The injured are being provided the best medical facility. On Tuesday, militants attacked Basaron, a tourist destination, known as ‘Mini Switzerland’ near Pahalgam city in South Kashmir, at least 26 people were killed and many others were injured. Most of them were tourists. The dead include the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Nepal’s two foreign and two locals.

 

The Chief Minister said, “Terrorism will never break our resolve. We will not sit peacefully until the people involved in this barbarity are brought into the dock of justice. ”
