India Pakistan ceasefire break
Pakistan’s DGMO spoke to the DGMO of India and took the initiative of ceasefire amid the possibility of increasing tension between India and Pakistan. Pakistan violates ceasefire
A few hours after the ceasefire agreed with India, Pakistan started sending drones from across the border on Saturday evening and started shelling. There were reports of shelling and drone attacks in several districts including Barmer in Rajasthan, Baramulla, Ambala, Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir. The Foreign Secretary said that the Indian armed forces are strictly monitoring the situation, stating that he has been instructed to “strictly deal with the repetition of any incident of border violations along the International Border. Subsequently, Pakistan said it is “committed to honest implementation” of the ceasefire agreement with India. Islamabad’s Foreign Ministry claimed that its force was handling the situation with responsibility and restraint, accusing India of “violating”.
