Pakistan is not coming to eagle, violation of ceasefire again on LOC, army gave a befitting reply

Pakistani troops opened fire on various sectors at the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir, which was effectively responded by the Indian Army. Officials gave this information on Sunday.

Officials said that on Saturday and Sunday midnight, there were reports of violation of the ceasefire agreement by Pakistani soldiers from eight places in five districts of the Union Territory.

He said that no casualties were reported during this period.

This was the tenth consecutive night when the tension between India and Pakistan increased after the terrorist attack on 22 April in Pahalgam, when firing was done from across the border. 26 people lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack, with most of the tourists.

A defense spokesperson said, “On the midnight of May 3 and 4, on behalf of Pakistani Army posts, the LOCs located in front of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Rajouri, Mendhar, Naushera, Sunderbani and Akhnoor were opened with small arms in Jammu and Kashmir. The Indian Army replied immediately and effectively. ”

The incidents of ceasefire violations on the Line of Control and International Border (IB) were rarely seen since India and Pakistan renewed the ceasefire agreement on 25 February 2021.

After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, the Pakistani soldiers have been firing at various places on the LoC since the night of 24 April, a few hours after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty.

After starting firing with small arms without provoking several posts near LoC in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of North Kashmir, Pakistani soldiers also violated the ceasefire in Poonch sector and then Akhnoor sector of Jammu region.

This was followed by small arms firing at several posts near LoC in Sunderbani and Nowshera sector in Rajouri district. The international border was also fired in Mendhar in Poonch district and Pargwal sector of Jammu district.

There was a recent talk on ‘Hotline’ between the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan. It has been reported that during this time India warned him about the firing being done by Pakistan without provocation. Despite this, the firing is not stopping.
