Principal Defense President (CDS) General Anil Chauhan said on Tuesday that professional forces are not affected by temporary damage, as overall results are more important than such losses.
The apex military commander said that Pakistan is on a policy of bled by thousands of wounds to India, but New Delhi has completely drawn a new Laxman line against border terrorism through ‘Operation Sindoor’.
In his address at the University of Savitribai Phule Pune, General Chauhan dismissed his criticism to accept that in the initial stage of ‘Operation Sindoor’, India lost a large number of fighter jets. He said, “When I was asked about the damage done to us, I said that it is not important, but it is important and how you work.”
Chauhan said in response to a question that it would not be right to talk about losses and numbers.
The CDS said that even if there is a loss in the war, you have to maintain your morale. He said that loss is not important, but the results are important.
Explaining various aspects of war, including politics and violence, General Chauhan said that in ‘Operation Sindoor’, war and politics were taking place parallel.
He also mentioned “poisoning” against India and Hindus a few weeks before the Pahalgam attack by Pakistan’s Army Chief General Asim Munir to emphasize that Islamabad’s approach “has been” bled “by giving a thousand wounds to India.
General Chauhan said that whatever happened in Pahalgam was a great cruelty.
He said that the thinking behind ‘Operation Sindoor’ was that Pakistan should be tightened on state -sponsored terrorism and that country could not be allowed to make India a hostage of terrorism.
General Chauhan said that India is not afraid of terrorism and nuclear blackmail.
Regarding India’s military attacks, he said that the Indian armed forces launched an accurate attacks on Pakistani bases very carefully.
Explaining the process of consent on ending hostility, he said that Pakistan had planned to retaliate against India for 48 hours, but the scheme collapsed within eight hours.
Highlighting the influence of Indian attacks, he said that the Pakistani side expressed his desire to negotiate.
Chauhan said that at around 1 pm on the night of May 10, Pakistan targeted India to defeat India in 48 hours and made several attacks.
He said that Pakistan felt that its campaign would run for 48 hours, but he gave up in eight hours and he started expressing his desire to talk.
General Chauhan said, “When there was a request from Pakistan to negotiate and reduce tension, we accepted it.”
Regarding India’s overall approach, he said, “We have increased the criteria; We have connected terrorism to water, we have drawn a new line of military action against terrorism. ‘
