Pakistani security forces violated the ceasefire agreement along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir fifth consecutive night and also fired at Akhnoor sector in Jammu district, extending the scope of this violation. An official gave this information on Tuesday.
It was the fifth consecutive night when Pakistan opened fire on the Line of Control (LoC) without provocation amid increased tension in India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam last week.
A defense spokesperson said, “On midnight of 28 and 29 April, the Pakistani Army firing with small weapons in Kupwara and Baramulla districts across the Line of Control along with small weapons in Akhnoor sector.” He said that the Indian Army was confirmed and responded effectively.
There is currently no information about anyone’s casualties in this firing. In violation of the ceasefire, Pakistan had fired at several posts near the Line of Control in Kupwara and Baramulla districts of North Kashmir with small weapons without provoking and later fired at the Poonch sector and then Akhnoor sector while extending the scope of violation.
