After Vande Bharat Chair Car, Indian Railways has now prepared to run Vande Bharat Sleeper Train across the country. The first pair of this train has been prepared, and Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav unveiled its first model on 1 September. This train will be sent for testing in the next 10 days and it is expected that it will be started for the general public in the next 3 months.

Route of the first Vande Bharat sleeper train
The first Vande Bharat sleeper train will run between Patna and Delhi. This train will run at a speed of 160 km per hour and will complete the journey from Patna to Delhi in just 8 hours. However, its stoppages have not been decided yet.
Train features and number of berths
Vande Bharat Sleeper train will have more berths than the chair car. Chair car Vande Bharat has 8 coaches and 530 seats, while the sleeper train will have 16 coaches and 823 berths, which will allow more passengers to travel.
Fare and distance traveled
According to the Railway Minister, this train has been specially designed for the middle class people. Its fare is likely to be equal to that of Rajdhani Express, which will be affordable for the middle class. Initially, it will be run for a journey of 800 to 1200 km, so that people traveling overnight give it priority.
Start date
There is a plan to run Vande Bharat Sleeper Train by December. This train will be tested for the next 2 months and after that it will be started for passengers. This train is designed to cover a distance of 800 to 1200 km, in which passengers will start the journey at night and reach their destination in the morning.
