Pilot Rajveer Singh Chauhan, a resident of Jaipur, who lost his life in the helicopter accident in Uttarakhand on Sunday, was serving in the Indian Army for more than 15 years and he had a widespread experience of flight missions in various terrain.
A private company’s helicopter crashed near Kedarnath on Sunday and seven people, including Pilot Chauhan, died.
Chauhan, a resident of Shastri Nagar in Jaipur, was working as a pilot with ‘Aryan Aviation Private Limited’ since October 2024. The information about Chauhan’s death was given to his father Govind Singh.
According to Chauhan’s ‘LinkedIn’ profile, he had a widespread experience of flight missions, air operations in various areas and trained in various types of helicopters and their maintenance.
Governor Haribhau Bagde, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot have mourned the accident.
According to the Raj Bhavan spokesperson, the Governor has wished God to give the peace of pilot and other devotees of Rajasthan and to provide the power to the bereaved families to bear the sorrow.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma posted on ‘X’ and said, “The news of the loss of life of Rajasthan pilots and other devotees caused by the crashes of the helicopter in Kedarnath is extremely sad. Baba Kedar should give the departed souls the strength to bear this thunderstorm at the place and the mournful family at his feet.
Former Chief Minister Gehlot said in a social media post, “The death of seven persons, including Pilot Rajveer Singh Chauhan, resident of Jaipur, is very sad in the helicopter crash near Kedarnath. In this difficult time, my deep condolences are with the bereaved families, God should give them the power to bear this trauma and give peace to the souls of the divorce.
