A major accident occurred on Friday morning at Piplodi Government School in Manohar police station block of Jhalawar district of Rajasthan. A part of the dilapidated building collapsed, the death of 7 children has been confirmed. The number of dead may increase even further, while 29 other children were injured.
Please tell that this accident happened when the students were gathering for morning prayers. Police received information about the incident at around 7:45 am. The team reached the spot, with the help of teachers and villagers, took out the children buried under the rubble.
Death due to building collapse
Manorathana police station in -charge Nand Kishore said that the dead include Kundar, Kanha, Raidas, Anuradha and Badal Bhil. Another deceased has not been identified yet. According to officials, around 35 students of the sixth and seventh grade of the school were present inside the building at the time of the accident. Dangipura police station in -charge Vijendra Singh confirmed that the fall of the roof caused the building to collapse.
President expressed grief
President Draupadi Murmu has mourned the accident. Sharing the post on X, he wrote that the news of death and injuries to the roof of a school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan is very sad. My prayer is that God should be given the power to bear the bereaved families to bear this pain. I wish the students injured in this accident to get well soon.
PM Modi expressed grief
Condoling the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on X that an accident in a school in Jhalawar, Rajasthan is very sad. My condolences are with affected families. I wish the injured to get well soon. The administration is involved in assistance.
CM Bhajan Lal Sharma expressed grief
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also expressed deep grief over the accident. Chief Minister Bhajan Lal wrote that this is a heartbreaking accident. Instructions have been given for proper treatment of the injured children. May God give peace to the departed souls.
High level inquiry order
State Education Minister Madan Dilawar said that a high -level inquiry into the accident will be conducted. He instructed the departmental officers to reach the spot immediately and ensure arrangements for treatment of all the injured.
Opposition also expressed grief
Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Leader of Opposition Tikaram Julie have also expressed deep grief over the accident and expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. Mourning the accident, Ashok Gehlot wrote on X that many children and teachers are being reported to have been reported due to the collapse of a government school building in Manorathana in Jhalawar. I pray to God to at least loss of life and to give quick health benefits to the injured.
