Tried to bring a new political culture: PM Modi
In his address, PM Modi said, ‘From Jansangh till now, we have tried our best to bring a new political culture in the country. If the organisation, the unit, the organisation, the party through which the people of the country hand over power does not live the democratic values or the internal democracy does not flourish within it, then such a situation arises which we are seeing in many parties in the country today. Lotus will someday be painted on hearts: PM Modi
PM Modi said that this party did not reach here just like that. Many generations have passed. Only then this party has been able to make a place in the hearts of the people. When I was not in politics, in the Jana Sangh era, workers used to paint Deepak (Jana Sangh) on the walls with great enthusiasm. At that time, the leaders of many political parties used to make fun of the fact that one cannot reach the corridors of power by lighting lamps on the walls. We are the people who painted on the walls with such devotion that the lotus painted on the walls will someday be painted on the hearts. Some people always kept making fun of us. Even when we had two members in the Parliament, such a vulgar joke was made. Such is the character of some people. Facing all such criticism, we kept moving ahead, living the spirit of Nation First by being dedicated to the welfare of the common people. PM Modi said that challenging the challenge is in the veins of BJP. Where there is a challenge, the lotus has to bloom in the hearts.

Amit Shah said that we have worked in every field. Triple Talaq was abolished, Article 370 was removed, be it the construction of Ram Mandir or Kashi Vishwanath Corridor… many works were done. In the 80s, Modi ji travelled in Gujarat for 45 days in a car and collected information of every member and improved them. There will be a campaign of Bharat Vijay and BJP Vijay.
Organization is paramount: Nadda
Party President JP Nadda said in his address that the organization is paramount and comes first. He said that whenever there was a need, PM Modi gave first priority to the organization and always came forward for the party. When Amit Shah ji was the president, he took the membership campaign forward with priority. He continuously organized workshops across the country. JP Nadda said, ‘Despite having 18 crore membership, due to Article 9 of the BJP constitution, membership has to be renewed every 6 years. Today we are everywhere, including booth mandal, in a democratic way. After the membership campaign is over, booth, mandal, district, state elections will be held and then national elections will be held.’
The first phase will run till September 25
This membership drive of BJP is also being seen as the beginning of the internal survey of the party before the election of the new president of BJP. Party president J P Nadda will start the campaign by renewing the membership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. According to the information, the first phase of the membership drive will run till 25 September and then this exercise will be reviewed before the start of the second phase on 1 October. Membership renewal every six years
All existing members of BJP get their membership renewed every six years. In this campaign, along with renewing the membership of existing members, new members will also be made. BJP had earlier announced that the party’s target is to make more than 10 crore members during this campaign and this will not include those states in which elections are going to be held in the next few months.
Will BJP cross the 18 crore mark?
The party had a membership of 18 crore after its last membership drive and it hoped to cross this figure this time. Newcomers can join the party by calling a mobile number, scanning a QR code, through the NaMo app and through the BJP website. However, in remote areas the party will use the traditional method of registration on paper.
