‘Congratulations on Liberal Party’s victory’
PM Modi wrote in his tweet, ‘Mark J. Congratulations to Carney on the victory of Canada and the victory of Liberal Party. India and Canada are associated with shared democratic values, strong commitment to the rule of law and lively public relations. I look forward to strengthen our partnership with you and open more opportunities for our people. ‘ This congratulatory message is considered a positive step towards deepening bilateral relations between India and Canada. There has already been strong support between the two countries in the field of trade, education, and cultural exchange.
Trump’s statements overturned!
Experts believe that India’s strategic partnership with Canada under the leadership of Mark Carney can be taken to new heights. There is already an active cooperation between India and Canada through the Indo-Canedian Business Chamber and various cultural forums, which is likely to further strengthen. It is believed that US President Donald Trump’s threats and trade war of Canada in the US played an important role in this victory of the Liberal Party. According to election analysts, initially the atmosphere in Canada did not appear in support of the Liberal Party but Karney took an edge after Trump’s statements.
