Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday appreciated the contribution of former Foreign Secretary Harshvardhan Shringla, Special Public Prosecutor in the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack case, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C Sadanandan Master and contribution of Meenakshi Jain, leader of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from Kerala.
The Union Home Ministry said in a notification issued late Saturday that the President nominated these four persons for the Rajya Sabha.
Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “Sri Ujjwal Nikam’s legal field and dedication to our Constitution is exemplary. He has not only been a successful lawyer, but has also been at the forefront of justice efforts in important matters. ”
He said that during his entire legal career, Nikam has always worked to strengthen constitutional values and ensure respectful behavior with ordinary citizens.
The Prime Minister said, “It is a matter of happiness that the President has nominated him to the Rajya Sabha.” My best wishes for his parliamentary innings. ”
He appreciated Shringla’s contribution, saying that he has excelled as a diplomat, intellectual and strategic thinker.
Modi said in another post, “In the last several years he has made significant contribution to India’s foreign policy and has also contributed to our chairmanship of G20. I am happy that the President has nominated him to the Rajya Sabha. Their unique approach will make parliamentary proceedings more rich. ”
The Prime Minister appreciated Sadanandan Master and said that his life is a symbol of courage and a sense of not bending in front of injustice.
Modi said, “Violence and threats could not stop his spirit towards the development of the nation. His efforts as a teacher and social worker are also commendable.
