Please tell that BJP was established on 6 April 1980. Earlier, the chairman was former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. BJP’s first Lok Sabha election was 1984. In this election, the party won only two seats. But in 1989, the party won 85 seats. Then the party won 120 seats in the 1991 election. 161 in 1996, NDA in 1999 got an absolute majority and BJP got 183 seats. The government lasted for five years under the leadership of Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Then in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the people gave a historic majority and the party was formed under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
