PM Modi expressed concern over earthquake
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday expressed concern over the situation caused by the huge earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. PM Modi said that in this hour India is ready to provide all possible help to both countries.
Earthquake at a depth of 10 km
Two fierce earthquakes occurred in South East Asia on Friday, which led to the buildings in Thailand’s capital Bangkok and neighboring country Myanmar. People were evacuated to safe places. According to preliminary reports, the US Geological Survey and the GFZ Geology Center of Germany reported that the earthquake came to a depth of 10 km (6.2 mi) in the afternoon. Its center was in the neighboring country Myanmar. 12 minutes later, the second earthquake of 6.4 magnitude occurred.
Announcement of all possible help
Prime Minister Modi said in a post on social media platform X, ‘I am worried about the situation arising out of earthquake in Myanmar and Thailand. I pray for the safety and goodness of all. India is ready to provide all possible help.
Instructions for Indian officials to be ready
Along with this, PM Modi said that Indian officials have been asked to be ready in this regard. The Ministry of External Affairs has also been asked to stay in touch with the governments of Myanmar and Thailand. (With language input)

The Indian Air Force C-17 GlobeMaster aircraft is placed on standby for Bangkok and Myanmar. Waiting for the final order to take equipment and team to assist the earthquake victims of both countries.
