New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated the 13-km stretch of Delhi-Meerut NaMo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar. The event was held in Sahibabad, starting from Hindon Airbase at 11:30 am. After the inauguration, PM Modi traveled in Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad RRTS station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. During this time he met many children, who presented him other gifts including paintings. With the launch of this project, travel between Delhi and Meerut has become even simpler, faster and comfortable.
Delhi to Meerut in just 40 minutes
Now the journey from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South can be completed in just 40 minutes through Namo Bharat train services. These trains will be available for passengers at an interval of every 15 minutes from 5 pm onwards. The fare for normal coach has been fixed at Rs 150 and the fare for premium coach has been fixed at Rs 225. This project will not only make travel comfortable for millions of passengers but will also save time.

First section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV also started
Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated the 2.8 km long section between Janakpuri and Krishna Park of Delhi Metro Phase-IV. The cost of this project is approximately Rs 1200 crore. This new section will specifically benefit areas of West Delhi like Krishna Park, Vikaspuri and Janakpuri. Along with this, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of the 26.5 km long Rithala-Kundli section of Delhi Metro. To be built at a cost of Rs 6230 crore, this corridor will connect Rithala in Delhi with Kundli in Haryana, which will improve connectivity between Delhi and north-western parts of Haryana.

New facilities in health sector
The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone of the new building of the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, Delhi. The construction of this building will cost Rs 185 crore. This modern building will provide excellent facilities in the health sector, which will include facilities like OPD, IPD and dedicated treatment blocks.
