New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given the Guard of Honor at Bayan Palace on Sunday, the last day of his Kuwait visit. On this occasion, the Kuwait government honored PM Modi with its highest honor ‘The Order of Mubarak Al Kabir’. The Bayan Palace is a symbol of power in Kuwait, where the embassies of many countries are located.

This honor is the 20th international honor given to PM Modi by any country. This special order is awarded to heads of state, foreign sovereigns and members of royal families as a symbol of friendship. Earlier, this honor has also been given to veteran foreign leaders like Bill Clinton, Prince Charles and George Bush.

Important agreements signed between the two countries

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held talks with the Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In this meeting, further strengthening of cooperation in key areas like trade, investment and energy was discussed. The Government of India is continuously striving to further strengthen its relations with the Gulf countries. During this visit, many important agreements were also signed between the two countries.

Addressed the Indian community

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Kuwait on Saturday (21 December 2024). This is the first official visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Kuwait in the last 43 years. PM Modi addressed an event organized for the Indian community there and also visited an Indian labor camp located in Kuwait.

India is one of Kuwait’s major trading partners and the Indian expatriate community in Kuwait is the largest. This visit of the Prime Minister is expected to provide a new direction in bilateral relations between the two countries.

India-Kuwait relations will get new momentum

This visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given new impetus to the deep diplomatic and economic relations between India and Kuwait. India is committed to promoting trade and investment with the Gulf countries as well as to the safety and dignity of its citizens.
