Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over appointment letters to about 71,000 youth on Monday under the recruitment drive ‘Rozgar Mela’. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement on Sunday.
The Prime Minister will also address the youth on this occasion through video conference. The PMO said that this job fair is an important step towards fulfilling the Prime Minister’s commitment to give top priority to employment generation.
This will provide meaningful opportunities to the youth for their participation in nation building and self-empowerment, the PMO said. This employment fair will be organized at 45 places across the country. Selected candidates will be appointed in various ministries and departments of the Central Government.
These include the Home Ministry, Department of Posts, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Financial Services. The employment fair started on 22 October 2022. Recently, in the winter session of Parliament, the government had told that till now several lakh youth have been given jobs through employment fair.
