New Pamban Rail Bridge will be inaugurated by PM Modi
India’s first vertical lift sea bridge i.e. the new Pamban rail bridge will be inaugurated on Sunday on the occasion of PM Narendra Modi Ram Navami. PM Narendra Modi will flag off a train and a ship from Roadbridge and look at the operation of the bridge. After the inauguration, PM Narendra Modi will visit and worship at the Ramanathaswamy temple in Rameswaram. Please tell that the Pamban bridge has a deep cultural significance. According to the Ramayana, “The construction of Ram Setu started from Dhanushkodi near Rameswaram.” Let us know that this bridge has been constructed 2.08 km long at a cost of more than Rs 550 crore, which connects Rameswaram to the mainland.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of many projects
It has 99 spans and a vertical lift span of 72.5 meters which arises for a highness of 17 meters, which will lead to smooth movement of ships and will also be able to operate uninterrupted operation of the train. Stainless steel, high level paints have been used in this bridge. It has been prepared for future demands. The Prime Minister’s Office said in its statement that PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of various rail and road projects costing more than Rs 8300 crore in the state and dedicate them to the nation. On this occasion, he will also address the people present there.

According to the government, in these projects, the foundation stone of making the 28 km long Walzpet-Ranipet section of NH-40 to four-lane and the 29 km long Vilupapuram-Puducherry section of NH-332 is four lane, the 57 km long Pundiankupam-Suttanathapuram section of NH-32 and the 48 km long Cholapuram-Tanjavur Khand of NH-32 and NH-36 Is included. These highways will connect many pilgrimage centers and tourist destinations, reduce the distance between cities and to make the medical colleges and hospitals, in addition to rapid access to the ports, will empower local farmers to reach the nearest markets and promote the economic activity of local leather and small scale industries.
