New Delhi. On the occasion of the completion of one year of the BJP government of Odisha, PM Narendra Modi reached Bhuvaneshwawar today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, Odisha is not just a state, it is a shining star of India’s rich heritage. Along with this, he also explained why he did not go to America at the invitation of Donald Trump? Modi said, just 2 days ago I was there for the G7 Summit in Canada and US President Trump called me. He said, now Canada has come, go through Washington, will eat together, will talk, he invited with great request. I told the President of America that thank you for your invitation, it is very important for me to go to the land of Mahaprabhu (Lord Jagannath) and so I humbly refused his invitation and you brought me to this earth.

Modi launched 105 projects worth more than Rs 18,600 crore, giving the green signal to 100 electric buses during the program organized at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar. During this, he said that Odisha has enriched Indian civilization and culture for centuries. This is the reason that today when the mantra of ‘Vikas and Heritage’ has become the basis of India’s progress, the role of Odisha has become even more important. In the last one year, Odisha has truly adopted this mantra of both development and heritage.

The Prime Minister said that today the first BJP government of Odisha has successfully completed one year. This is not just the anniversary of the government, it is a symbol of the establishment of good governance. This year is dedicated to public service and public confidence. This shows an honest effort to live up to the expectations of millions of Odisha voters. I wish the people of Odisha heartily.

Modi surrounded the Congress and said, the party that ruled the country for decades, used tribal communities only for political benefits. He neither gave him development nor real participation. Instead, he pushed a large part of the country into the fire of Naxalism, violence and oppression. As of 2014, more than 125 tribal -dominated districts of the country were affected by Naxalite violence and were maligned to be part of the ‘Red Corridor’. Most of these districts were declared backward and left behind. But in recent years, our government has worked to bring tribal communities out of this atmosphere of violence and bring them on the path of progress.
