PM Modi said that among the projects whose foundation stone was laid today, there are houses for the poor, projects related to schools and colleges. A permanent house instead of a slum, a house of our own instead of a rented house, this is a new beginning. Those who have got these houses, this is the house of their self-respect. This is the house of self-respect. This is the home of new hopes and new dreams. I have come here today to be a part of your celebration in the happiness of all of you.
Lived in Ashok Vihar during Emergency: PM Modi
PM Modi further said that when it was the time of emergency. The country was fighting against the dictatorial attitude of Indira Gandhi. At that time, many friends like me were part of the underground movement. Ashok Vihar used to be my place of residence at that time. Therefore, it is very natural to find many old and new things as soon as you come to Ashok Vihar. PM Modi further said that when I talked to some beneficiaries some time ago, I was seeing the same feeling within them, I was experiencing new enthusiasm, new energy. Got a chance to meet some boys and girls too. It seemed as if he was seeing his dreams even higher than the height of the self-respecting apartment. The owners of these houses may be different people from Delhi, but all of them are members of my family.
What did PM Modi say on Kejriwal’s Sheeshmahal?
PM Modi said that the country knows very well that Modi never built a house for himself. But in the last ten years, the dream of more than 4 crore poor people has been fulfilled. I too could have built a glass palace. But for me, it was a dream that my countrymen should get permanent houses. Whenever you go to the people who live in slums, come with a promise to them, for me you are Modi, come with a promise that if not today then tomorrow, a permanent house will be built for them, they will get a permanent house. PM Modi said that the construction work of about 3 thousand such houses in Delhi is going to be completed within a short time. Thousands of new houses are going to be provided to the people of Delhi in the coming time.
New college being built in the name of Veer Savarkar
PM Modi further said that 1 crore new houses are going to be built for the urban poor in the next phase of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Only the BJP government at the Center is going to provide help for these houses. Those families whose annual income is less than Rs 9 lakh will get special benefit from this scheme. The central government is giving huge rebate in home loan interest to middle class families to fulfill their dream of owning a house. The government is giving that money. He further said that the wait for the Eastern Campus and Western Campus of Delhi University is about to end. Work is going to be done on this rapidly. A new college is going to be built in the name of Veer Savarkar ji in Najafgarh. He said that those in the state government in Delhi for the last 10 years have caused a lot of damage to the school education system here. The situation is that the money given by the Government of India under the Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan, there is a government sitting in Delhi which does not care about the future of the children of Delhi. He could not spend even half of the money given by the Government of India for his studies.
PM Modi lashed out at Delhi government
He said that this is the capital of the country. Delhi has been hit by a major disaster for the last 10 years. By fronting Anna Hazare, some staunchly dishonest people pushed Delhi into disaster. Scam in liquor vends, scam in children’s schools, scam in the treatment of the poor, scam in the name of fighting pollution, scam in recruitments. These people used to talk about the development of Delhi, but this has become a disaster on AAP Delhi. These people openly indulge in corruption and even glorify it. One is theft, on top of that there is theft. You, this disaster has hit Delhi, that is why the people of Delhi have started a war against the disaster. The voters of Delhi are determined to free Delhi from disaster. Every citizen of Delhi, every child is saying that they will not be able to overcome the disaster, they will live by changing it.
PM Modi’s counterattack on Kejriwal’s statement
He said that the big works that are done in Delhi are the responsibility of the Central Government. Most of the roads, metro, big hospitals, big college campuses, all these are being built by the central government. But whatever work the government is responsible for due to disaster, there is a brake on it. The disaster that has engulfed Delhi has no vision. What kind of disaster is this? Another example of this is our Yamuna. When I asked the beneficiaries how was the Chhath Puja, they were shaking their heads and asking what to say about the condition of Chhath Puja. We apologize to our mother by performing a small puja near the house. Look at their shamelessness, they say that cleaning Yamuna will not get votes. Meaning, if we do not get votes then we will not clean Yamuna. This disaster has handed over the lives of the people of Delhi to the tanker mafia.
Disaster victims used to take bribe even in making ration cards
He said that if these disasters continue, they will lead to an even worse situation for Delhi in the future. It is my constant endeavor that my brothers and sisters of Delhi get the benefits of whatever good schemes are being made for the country. Till now, panels have been installed on about seven and a half lakh houses in the country. With this, homes will get free electricity and the government will give you the money for the remaining electricity. I assure the people of Delhi that as soon as BJP becomes the Chief Minister of Delhi, the Prime Minister Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme will be implemented more rapidly. Today the Government of India is giving free ration to about 75 lakh needy people of Delhi. 1 Country 1 Ration Card Scheme has helped the people of Delhi a lot. Otherwise, till a few years ago, it was difficult to even make a ration card in Delhi. Take out old newspapers and see what used to happen. Disaster people used to take bribe even for making ration cards.
Delhi government is not allowing Ayushman scheme to be implemented in Delhi.
He said that I also want to give the benefits of Ayushman Yojana which provides free treatment to the people of Delhi. But the disaster government has great enmity with the people of Delhi. Ayushman Yojana is implemented in the entire country. But disaster management is not allowing this scheme to be implemented in Delhi. Delhiites are having to suffer the loss due to this. The biggest thing is that our Delhi businessmen keep traveling across the country, the youth of Delhi go to roam around the country. If you go to any corner of India and something happens, if you have Ayushman card then the card will become a guarantee of your treatment there also. But Delhi is not getting this benefit. Because the disaster government of Delhi is not connecting you with Ayushman. That’s why if you go somewhere in India, if something happens, Modi is not able to serve you even if he wants to. This is because of the sin of disaster.
AAP government betrayed the people of Delhi
PM Modi said that I have to say with great sadness that no matter how much this son wants to serve the elderly of Delhi, the people of disaster have deprived the elderly of this service. They consider the ego of the disaster people bigger than your life. The state government here made them victims of the disaster. The BJP government at the center is running pension single window camps to help the people, but the disaster government is not even providing proper water and sewer facilities in these colonies. Due to this, lakhs of Delhiites are facing a lot of problems. Those who betray the people of Delhi and build Sheeshmahal for themselves. So when the disaster goes and BJP comes, this too will be resolved. Wherever there is no interference of disaster, every work is done successfully.
PM Modi said – Disaster has to be removed, BJP has to be brought in
He said that disaster does not interfere much in DDA. Therefore DDA is able to build houses for the poor and middle class. This work is also being done because there is no interference from disaster. Where there is no interference of disaster, that work is being done well in Delhi. Disaster people can only give problems to Delhi. But BJP is busy solving the problems of the people of Delhi.
