New Delhi. Giving a big gift to the people of Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in Darbhanga. On this occasion, PM Modi also inaugurated Jan Aushadhi Centers at 18 railway stations across the country. During this period, PM Modi made many big announcements related to medical education. Modi said that 75,000 new medical seats will be added in the next 5 years. Apart from this, our government has taken another big decision that medical education will soon be given in Hindi and other Indian languages. The PM also gave information about the cancer hospital to be built in Muzaffarpur.

Expressing happiness, Modi said that Bihar is also going to get a big eye hospital in the coming time. Prime Minister said, Darbhanga AIIMS will bring a big change in the health sector of Bihar. With this, apart from Mithila, Kosi and Tirhut divisions, people of West Bengal and many other places will also get better treatment facilities. In this AIIMS, patients coming from Nepal will also be able to get the required treatment.

With the construction of a cancer hospital in Muzaffarpur, not only the local patients but the entire Bihar will benefit because they will get better treatment in their own state and will not have to wander to other states like Delhi, Mumbai for treatment. Regarding starting medical education in Hindi and other languages, Modi said that the youth of Bihar will also benefit from this. This is the aim of the government so that children of poor, Dalit, backward and tribal families can also become doctors.

The PM also talked about the problem of floods that occurs every year in Bihar. He said that we are working with full sincerity to remove the problems caused by floods to the people of Kosi and Mithila. We have announced a detailed plan in this year’s budget to deal with floods in this region. I am sure that we will solve this problem together with Nepal.
