PM Narendra Modi Meets Chess Olympiad Champions: The girl whom Narendra Modi had once encouraged when he was Gujarat CM, has today become a chess champion.

New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today met the chess champions who returned to India after winning the 45th Chess Olympiad held in Budapest. The chess champion shared his experiences with PM Modi. While encouraging him, Modi talked to him in a light-hearted manner. When the chess champions thanked the PM for taking out his valuable time to meet them, the PM interrupted and said that my value is only you people. Hearing this from the Prime Minister, everyone present there laughed.

Among these players, there was also a girl who was honored by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for playing chess in her childhood. That girl became a woman grandmaster today because of the inspiration she got from Narendra Modi. The name of this chess champion is Vantika Aggarwal. Vantika also presented a photograph sharing her old memory with the PM. In this picture PM Modi is honoring Vantika. Vantika was 9 years old at that time. This picture is from 2012 when Narendra Modi, while being the Chief Minister of Gujarat, had organized a huge chess competition in which 20 thousand people played chess together.

During this, the PM told the chess champions that no country becomes developed just by treasury, GDP or industry, but there should be world expertise in every field. Be it the film industry, scientists or sports. We have to think how to bring maximum gold to the children of our country. The PM said that when I was the CM of Gujarat, I used to run the Khel Mahakumbh in which lakhs of children played. I believe that there should be a sportsman spirit for a good environment in the society.
