While inaugurating the Tata Aircraft Complex for manufacturing of C-295 aircraft in Vadodara, Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi mentioned in front of Spanish President Pedro Sanchez the football match played between Real Madrid and Barcelona yesterday. Apart from this, he also told about his meetings with Father Carlos G. Wallace, who came from Spain and spent 50 years of his life in India. Modi said that in food, films and football, the relations between the people of India and Spain are interconnected. Modi said that cultural connect has its own importance. I remember Father Carlos G. Wallace, who came from Spain and settled here in Gujarat. He spent fifty years of his life here, enriching our culture with his thoughts and writings. I had the privilege of meeting him several times. For his great contribution we honored him with the Padma Shri award. In Gujarat we called him Father Wallace and he used to write in Gujarati.
