Modi wrote on the social media post, there was a lack of transparency and accountability in the Waqf system for decades. This caused harm to the interests of Muslim women, poor Muslims and Pasmanda Muslims. Laws passed by Parliament will increase transparency and also protect people’s rights. PM said, now we will enter an era where there will be a sensitive functioning of more modern and social justice. Bestly, we are committed to prefer the dignity of every citizen. Similarly, we can also create a more strong, more inclusive and more compassionate India.
The Prime Minister thanked all the MPs participating in the Parliamentary and Committee discussions, who expressed their views on the bill and contributed to strengthening these laws. Along with this, Modi has also expressed special gratitude to countless people who sent their valuable suggestions to the Parliamentary Committee. Let us know that there was a discussion on the Waqf Amendment Bill in the Rajya Sabha for about 14 hours, after which 128 votes were cast in the path of the bill, while 95 votes were cast in protest. Earlier in the Lok Sabha, after about 12 hours of discussion, there were 288 votes in support of the bill and 232 votes in protest.
