New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched the important Subhadra Yojana of the Odisha government in Bhubaneswar. He also handed over the keys of their houses to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. During this, on his birthday today, PM Modi became emotional remembering his late mother. He said that today a tribal mother has blessed me by feeding me kheeri on my birthday.

The Prime Minister said, before coming here I had gone to the griha pravesh ceremony of a tribal family. They too have got their new PM house. I can never forget the happiness of that family, the satisfaction on their faces. That tribal family also fed me kheeri. When I was eating kheeri, I was remembering my mother. When my mother was alive, I would always go to seek mother’s blessings on my birthday and she would feed me jaggery. Today my mother is not there but a tribal mother has blessed me on my birthday by feeding me kheeri.

Modi said that Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is another reflection of women empowerment in India. Due to this scheme, property in even the smallest villages is now being registered in the name of women. Today itself, about 30 lakh families of the country have been given Griha Pravesh from here. It has been only a few months since our government came into its third term and in such a short time, our government has done a lot of public welfare work.

The PM said that now the central government has made treatment up to Rs 5 lakh free for senior citizens above 70 years of age. No matter what your income is, if there is an elderly person above 70 years of age in your house, Modi will take care of their treatment.
