New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said at BJP’s Vijay Sankalp rally in Jammu today that Congress, National Conference and PDP together strangled the spirit of the Constitution given by Baba Saheb Ambedkar. Many families living in Jammu for generations had been deprived of the right to vote by Congress, NC and PDP.

The Prime Minister said, he can do anything for appeasement. You listen to his speeches, how he attacks the Dogra heritage. What kind of allegations are made to defame Maharaja Hari Singh. The most corrupt family of the country, the Congress family, is calling Dogra Raj corrupt. I want to ask the people of Jammu region whether this allegation is acceptable to you?”

The Prime Minister said, the changes taking place in Jammu and Kashmir have troubled Congress, NC and PDP. They dislike your development and claim that if their government is formed they will bring back the old system which has discriminated against the entire Jammu region. PM said, BJP is committed to remove the historical discrimination faced by Jammu. In the last ten years, Jammu has got big institutions like IIT, IIM and AIIMS. New roads are also being constructed in Kathua and Kandi area of Samba district.

Lashing out at Congress, he said, Congress can never respect the soldiers who died for the country. It is this Congress which made our military families yearn for One Rank, One Pension for 4 decades. Congress lied to our soldiers. He used to say that One Rank, One Pension will put a burden on the treasury but Modi has not put the treasury ahead of the interests of military families. Modi said, BJP has announced Tiklal Tuplo scheme for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits. We have also promised to increase the financial assistance provided to the displaced people along with their rehabilitation.
