PM Narendra Modi's Taunt On Arvind Kejriwal's Sheeshmahal: I too could have built Sheeshmahal but… While handing over the keys of flats to slum dwellers in Delhi, PM Narendra Modi took a jibe at Arvind Kejriwal.

New Delhi. The country knows that Modi never built a house for himself, but in the last 10 years, he has fulfilled the dream of more than 4 crore poor people of having their own house. I too could have built a glass palace, but for me it was a dream that the countrymen should get permanent houses. Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a dig at Arvind Kejriwal while handing over the keys of their permanent houses to the slum dwellers of Delhi. Modi said, even though the owners of these houses may be different people of Delhi, they are all members of my family. I tell all of you, whenever you go among the people, those who are still living in slums, come with a promise from me to them because for me you are Modi, if not today then tomorrow a permanent house will be built for them too. Will definitely get a permanent house.

PM Modi today handed over the keys of 1,675 newly constructed flats in Swabhiman Apartment built in Ashok Vihar, Delhi for slum dwellers. Before this he inspected the flats and also interacted with the beneficiaries. The Prime Minister said, the year 2025 will set a new trend of good governance in Delhi. This year will strengthen the feeling of nation first, countryman first, Delhiite first for me. This year will usher in a new politics of nation building and public welfare in Delhi and hence ‘the disaster has to be removed, BJP has to be brought in.’

Modi said, those who built ‘Sheeshmahal’ for themselves by betraying and deceiving the people of Delhi, when this ‘disaster’ goes away and BJP comes to power, all these problems will be solved. You should remember that wherever there is no interference of ‘disaster’, work gets done well. A good example of this is DDA (Delhi Development Authority) because there is no interference of disaster. PM said, disaster can only cause problems to the people of Delhi.

Talking about Ayushman Yojana, the Prime Minister said, BJP government has also brought the elderly above 70 years of age under the ambit of Ayushman Yojana. Now children of elderly people above 70 years of age will not have to worry about their illness. Your son Modi will worry about you. I have to say with sadness that no matter how much this son wants to serve the elderly of Delhi, the people of disaster have deprived the elderly of that facility.
