The citizens of Delhi are currently struggling with the problem of traffic congestion including pollution, to solve which a new decision has been taken by Chief Minister Atishi. On Friday, he has announced that a fixed timing will be fixed for all government offices during which they will be operated. Last week, Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) had gone to ‘severe’ level and has remained at this level for the third consecutive day.
Office timings have been changed
This information has been given by the officials that there has been a change in the timing of the Central Government, Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) and government offices. In Swiss group IQAir’s live rankings, Delhi has topped the category of most polluted city in the world.
1. Municipal Corporation of Delhi: 8:30am to 5pm
2. Central government: 9am to 5:30pm
3. Delhi government: 10am to 6:30pm
Apart from this, Delhi Metro has also announced that stage-III GRAP restrictions have been implemented hence 20 extra trips will be given. Apart from this, Delhi government has directed to close all primary schools. The class will be conducted online only.
