Discussion has intensified in political circles about the expulsion of senior Congress party leader Shashi Tharoor. Recently, Tharoor’s name was missing from the list of all -party delegation set up to present India’s stance on Pakistan -sponsored cross -cross -terrorism, which made speculation of dissatisfaction with him in the party. However, the government later included Tharoor to the delegation, causing confusion within the party.
The Congress has not given any official statement on the matter, but according to sources, the party is keeping an eye on their situation. At the same time, the BJP has accused the Congress of deliberately bypassing Tharoor. BJP leader Gaurav Vallabh said that merit in the Congress is suppressed and flattery is promoted. He also raised the question that when the Congress is ready to represent Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Sarkar Tharoor, then why does the Congress have a problem with it.
This dispute questions the Congress leadership and policy decisions. Although the party has not given any official response to the matter so far, it is clear that the party’s position is on the position of Tharoor. This development may affect the Congress’s strategy and internal solidarity for the upcoming Assam Assembly Elections 2026. The party needs to take a clear stand on this issue soon so that political confusion can be avoided.
