New Delhi. Hon’ble Minister of Power, Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal visited the pavilions of Ministry of Power and NTPC at the India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2024 today. On this occasion, Power Secretary Shri Pankaj Aggarwal, CMD of CPSE, senior officials of Power Ministry and CPSEs of power sector were also present.
IITF is presenting its vision of ViksitBharat@2047 to the Ministry of Power in 2024. The Pavilion of the Ministry of Power offers an enriching experience, focusing on key themes such as India’s energy transition and ensuring energy security. This pavilion highlights the country’s progress towards a sustainable and developed future.
The pavilion is equipped with the latest interactive technologies, including virtual reality games, an interactive LED globe, quiz panels and touch-screen OLED displays, designed to enrich the visitor experience. The participating CPSEs under the Ministry of Power are highlighting their initiatives for green energy, net-zero emission targets and enhancing ease of living.
Hon’ble Minister also visited NTPC’s pavilion, which presented NTPC’s innovative eco-friendly and affordable housing solution, ‘Sukh Eco-House’. This eco-house is built using approximately 80% ash and ash-based products obtained from thermal power plants. It is a revolutionary approach to rural housing and reflects the company’s commitment towards sustainability and zero-carbon emissions.
The pavilions of the Ministry of Power and NTPC at IITF highlighted the government’s ongoing efforts to transform India’s energy and infrastructure landscape. This is a concrete step towards a bright, green and sustainable future for India by 2047.
