Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraj, demands a white paper on caste -wise calculation in Bihar

Prashant Kishore, the founder of Jan Suraj, demands a white paper on caste -wise calculation in Bihar

Jan Suraj Party founder Prashant Kishore said on Monday that he would launch a movement against the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar if his three major demands, including the issuance of white paper on caste -based calculations within a month, will start a movement against the Nitish Kumar government.

Kishore also demanded a “immediate stop” land survey in the state, alleging that there was a large -scale corruption in this process.

The former electoral strategist also sought a response from the government regarding the promise of providing three decimal land to members of Dalit and Mahadalit communities.

Talking to reporters, Kishore said, “If the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) government of the state does not accept our three demands, then Jan Suraj will start a signature campaign in 40,000 revenue villages of the state from May 11.”

He said, “On July 11, we will submit a memorandum to the government with the signature of one crore people. Even if our demands are ignored, we will surround the assembly during the monsoon session, which will be the last session before the assembly elections to be held later this year.

Kishore said, “Our first demand is related to caste -based calculations made by the state government. On 7 November 2023, the Chief Minister had promised a lump sum financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh to 94 lakh families with income below Rs 6,000 per month based on the findings of the caste -based calculation report presented in the Assembly. But not a single family has got this assistance. We demand the government to issue a white paper on it within a month. “He questioned,” Based on this survey, reservation was promised to 65 percent, what happened to that? “

According to Kishore, the second demand is related to the government’s promise of giving three decimal land to build houses to 50 lakh homeless/landless families associated with Dalit and Mahadalit families.

He alleged, “According to the government records, only 2 lakh families have been allotted land and that too is only on paper and has not been given possession of land. The Nitish Kumar government has cheated people from Dalit and Mahadalit communities on this issue. The government should clarify when these families will get real occupation of land. ”

Under his third demand, the teenager has demanded the postponement of the ongoing land survey in the state.

He alleged, “We urge the government to stop this process immediately.” In the name of land survey, there is a large -scale corruption. Officers are making money from people. States like Telangana and Andhra Pradesh have surveyed 80 percent of the land and digitized revenue records, while only 20 percent of the survey has been done in Bihar since the process started in 2013. This slow progress has increased land disputes, including cases of murder and attempt to murder. ”
