Amit Shah will hold a meeting with the Chief Ministers of Naxal affected states
A high-level meeting of Chief Ministers and Home Ministers of Naxal-affected states will be organized under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi on October 7 to eliminate Naxalism and accelerate the pace of development work in Naxal-affected areas. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai will also participate in this important meeting. In this meeting, the Chief Minister will give information about the ongoing Naxal operation in the state and the development works going on in the Naxal affected areas. Chief Minister Sai said before the meeting that the Chhattisgarh government is not only continuously conducting search operations by the security forces in Naxal affected areas, but development works are also being given priority in these areas. He said that the aim of the state government is to end the terror of Naxalites and connect these areas with the mainstream of development.
What did CM Vishnudev say?
Referring to the recent major Naxal operation in the border area of Narayanpur-Dantewada district, Chief Minister Sai said, “Today our security forces have achieved great success against the Maoists. So far, information has been received that 28 Naxalites have been killed in the search operation. This is the biggest Naxal operation so far in Chhattisgarh. For this I congratulate our brave soldiers and salute their indomitable courage.” He further said, “The clear aim of our government is to completely eliminate Naxalism. Under the double engine government, we are not only dealing strictly with the Maoists in the Naxal affected areas, but are also rapidly completing the development works in those areas. Union Home Minister Amit Shah has also given clear guidelines to eliminate Naxalism, and his resolve is to end Naxalism from the entire country by March 2026.”
Agenda of development works in the meeting
In the meeting to be held in New Delhi, Chief Minister Sai will also present the details of the development works being done in Naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh. The Government of Chhattisgarh has launched several important schemes for the development of roads, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure in these areas. Apart from this, special efforts are being made for employment generation and rural development in the state, so that the people of Naxalism affected areas can join the mainstream of development. The Chief Minister said, “We appeal to the Maoists to leave the path of violence and join the mainstream of development. Continuous development work is being done by the government in Naxal affected areas. Roads, electricity, water and health facilities are being provided, so that the standard of living of the people can be improved.” In this meeting to be chaired by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, special cooperation will also be sought from the Center to further accelerate the development works in Naxal affected areas of Chhattisgarh.
Big success achieved in Naxal operation
Today, the news of killing of 28 Naxalites in the encounter between security forces and Naxalites in the border area of Narayanpur-Dantewada district has given new energy to the morale of the security forces in the entire state. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai congratulated the security forces regarding this operation and said, “This success is the result of hard work and courage of our security forces. I congratulate him for his achievement. The state government is fully committed to taking this struggle against Naxalism to its final conclusion.” The Chief Minister said that we have also received full support from Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in this ongoing fight against Naxalism in Chhattisgarh. It is because of his strategy and guidance that this successful campaign is being conducted against the Maoists.
