The festival of Buddha Purnima is being celebrated across the country today.Many leaders including President Draupadi Murmu, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated the countrymen of Buddha Purnima.
President Draupadi Murmu wrote on X, On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I give heartfelt greetings and best wishes to all the countrymen and followers of Lord Buddha all over the world. The immortal message of non -violence, love and compassion of Mahatma Buddha, a symbol of compassion, is the basic mantra of the welfare of all humanity. Their ideals strengthen our faith in eternal values like equality, harmony and justice. Their teachings inspire us all to live a life based on moral values. Come, let us all adopt the teachings of Mahatma Buddha and contribute to the creation of peaceful, cordial and developed India by following virtue in our lives.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar wrote on X, congratulating Buddha Purnima, Buddha greetings to all citizens on the auspicious occasion of Purnima. This holy day is a symbol of Lord Buddha’s birth, knowledge and Mahaparinirvana, whose intense intellect acts as a pole star for us in challenging times. The message of non -violence, kindness and medium path of Lord Buddha is more relevant in today’s world, for both individual and overall humanity. I wish Lord Buddha for the happiness and peace of everyone.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote on X, On the auspicious occasion of Buddha Purnima, I salute Mahatma Buddha, a symbol of peace, knowledge and compassion. Their eternal teachings take humanity on the path of harmony, self-realization and religion.
BSP supremo Mayawati wrote on X, “Buddha Gautam Buddha, who has spread the ideal light of truth, non-violence and humanity in the world by spreading India to Jagadguru, today on his birth anniversary, his heartfelt greetings to his naman and his followers on his birth anniversary and wishing Buddha Purnima on Buddha Purnima and a happy life free from terror etc. The true Rajdharma is to make the lives of people happy and prosperous by walking right on the path of Tathagata Gautama Buddha.
