New Delhi. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday evening participated in Ganpati Puja at the residence of Supreme Court Chief Justice DY Chandrachud. On this special occasion, CJI DY Chandrachud and his wife Kalpana Das Chandrachud welcomed the Prime Minister in a traditional manner. During the puja, Prime Minister Modi was seen wearing a Marathi traditional hat and also participated in the Ganpati Aarti. A video of this entire event has also surfaced, in which PM Modi can be seen worshiping Lord Ganesha.
Ganpati festival is celebrated with great pomp in many states of India. The grandeur of this festival is especially worth seeing in Maharashtra and Karnataka. This festival marks the arrival and establishment of Lord Ganesha, and his devotees across the country celebrate it with great devotion and enthusiasm.
Chief Justice DY Chandrachud has deep ties with Maharashtra. He was born in Mumbai and received his early education in Mumbai. He then practised law in the Bombay High Court, where his name was registered with the Maharashtra Bar Council. He has also served as a visiting professor at Mumbai University and his contribution in the field of legal education has also been appreciated.

This meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and CJI Chandrachud has created a stir in political and judicial circles as well. This is the first time that the Prime Minister has participated in Ganpati Puja at the Chief Justice’s residence.
