When Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached his parliamentary constituency Varanasi on Friday, he was informed about the alleged gang rape incident with a 19 -year -old student. The statement issued by the UP government said, “Police Commissioner, Mandalayukta and District Magistrate gave detailed information to the Prime Minister on the recent criminal rape incident in Varanasi.”
The Prime Minister gave strict instructions to the officials that strict action should be taken against the culprits and effective steps should be taken to prevent recurrence of such incidents in future.
What is the whole matter?
According to the victim’s father, her daughter left the house on 29 March to meet a friend. After this she came in contact with some boys and several days passed. The family first searched themselves, but complained to the police on 3 April if he was unsuccessful. On 4 April, the police recovered the girl. She was in critical condition. When his condition improved after treatment, he told the whole incident.
According to the police, the woman was seduced and taken to gang-raped for several days. The victim alleges that a total of 23 people raped her in 7 days. The police have so far arrested 9 accused and sent them to judicial custody, while the search for 11 others is on.
The victim’s father told the media, “My daughter was intermittent with commerce and wanted to make a career in sports. She was raped again and again by feeding intoxicating things. The involvement of so many people shows that it was a well-planned conspiracy.”
He pleaded with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for justice, saying, “I do not demand the hanging, but the punishment should be so harsh that anyone thinks a hundred times before doing such disgusting act.”
Alok Saurabh, lawyer of the accused, said, “So far a total of 23 people are accused of which 11 have not been identified. 9 The accused have been sent to judicial custody.”
