Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of ‘Madhav Netralaya Premium Center’ on Sunday, which has been built by expanding the Madhav Netralaya Institute and Research Center in Nagpur.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat was also present at the ceremony.
The Madhav Netralaya Eye Institute and Research Center was established in 2014 and is a major ‘super-specialty’ ophthalmic center. The institute was established in memory of the late RSS chief Madhavrao Sadashivrao Golwalkar alias Guruji.
The ‘Madhav Netralaya Premium Center’ will have a 250 -bed hospital, 14 external patient departments (OPD) and 14 ‘modular operation theater’, which aims to provide cheap and world -class eye treatment services to people.
