As part of this action taken on the recommendation of the Ministry of Home Affairs, a message is visible to Indian users on Shahbaz Sharif’s YouTube channel, “This material is unavailable in this country due to the government order related to national security or public system.” Earlier, India also blocked 16 major Pakistani YouTube channels, such as Don News, Sama TV, Jio News, and ARVay News, which had more than 63 million subscribers. These channels were accused of anti -India campaign and spreading misleading materials.
At the same time, Pakistan has criticized this action and described it as a violation of freedom of expression. Pakistani media claimed that a patriotic video was played on Shahbaz Sharif’s channel, which was played by India as objectionable. However, India dismissed these claims and said that this step was necessary for national security.
After the Pahgam attack, India has taken several steps against Pakistan, including suspending the Indus Water Treaty, closing the attic border, and canceling the visas of Pakistani citizens. This action can further complicate stressful relationships between the two countries. The international community, especially America, has appealed to both countries to exercise restraint and reduce stress through negotiations.
