New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will not go to Prayagraj on 5 February. According to information received by sources, PM Modi has postponed the program of going to Mahakumbh. It is believed that PM Modi can go to Prayagraj some other day after postponing the tour of February 5. However, no official information has been revealed about this yet.

The Mahakumbh expressed grief over the accident

Earlier, PM Modi expressed deep grief over the incident in Mahakumbh yesterday. PM Modi termed this ‘accident’ as ‘extremely tragic’ and expressed his deep condolences to the devotees who lost their families. After talking to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath four times in view of the accident, Modi said in a post on ‘X’, “The incident in Prayagraj Mahakumbh is very sad. In this, my deep condolences to the devotees who have lost their families. Along with this, I wish all the injured to get well soon. ”

A day after the stampede incident in the Mahakumbh Mela area, the state government intensified efforts to control the crowd and ensure the safety of the devotees. Meanwhile, a large number of devotees continue to come to the fair area on Thursday. The incident of stampede that took place late on Tuesday night is not visible on the devotees coming here and they are moving towards the bathing ghat in the desire to get salvation. According to the state government, 1.77 crore people took a dip in the Ganges and Sangam till 4 pm on Thursday.

Basant Panchami Arrangement for Amrit Bath

DIG, Mela, Vaibhav Krishna said on Thursday that the police is engaged in extensive security arrangements for the Amrit Bath on the upcoming Basant Panchami (February 3) and the deployment of policemen and security personnel is being increased amidst estimates of a large number of people coming to the Amrit bath. Is. He said that the pressure of the crowd has come down relatively on Thursday and all the bridges have been reopened so that traffic in the fair area can be smooth. However, new restrictions will be imposed at prominent places for better mob management of Basant Panchami. The DIG clarified that like Mauni Amavasya, there will be a ban on the movement of specific persons (VIPs) on the upcoming Amrit bath. After the thick fog in the morning, sunlight was sunk during the day and people continue to come to the fair area throughout the day. Women, children and elders were constantly seen moving towards various ghats. (input language)
